Message However, my intercooler is not like the Apollo's where a good portion is stuffed up inside the bumper area. Mine actually attaches to the backside of the bumper with an L bracket which puts the top of the intercooler right underneath the bumper. So, at the bottom of the fascia where I cut, the intercooler sits down one row. At the top, if I slide my finger along the fascia to the intercooler I hit the top plate of the intercooler, and because I have about .5" gap to the intercooler there should be quite a bit of air getting to that top portion. I tried to make sure I got most of the intercooler in the open, but the only parts that are not exposed to the main mouth of the fascia are the sides. And, they're exposed via the other air ducts just to each side of the main opening.

I'm not arguing that my FMIC is superior to the "2 SMIC's welded together", I'm just clarifying what you may be seeing in my picture (sig). I think the design that Russell has is most likely a superior product to what I have. But, considering what I was coming from (read my original post) this is a huge improvement at a lesser cost than SMIC's.
